Compensation and Benefits:

Our next vet Technician needs to:

  • Enjoy working with cats
  • Have experience as a Veterinary Technician ( i.e. taking blood, placing catheters, taking radiographs, anesthetic monitoring)
  • Be experienced in, or willing to cross train in receptionist duties – check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, answering phones.  
  • Be adept at managing multiple tasks. Demonstrate a systematic approach in carrying out assignments. 
  • Be comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Be skilled at collaborating with others to achieve best outcomes
  • Excel at being a self-starter – willing to jump in and help wherever necessary
  • Hospital maintenance
  • Be a quick learner and willing to try new things with instruction and guidance
  • Follow established procedures to ensure the security of patients, staff, data, revenue, inventory, and the facility.
  • Read, write and speak fluent English, using appropriate grammar, and vocabulary. 
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Work Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an animal facility is required. 
  • Knowledge of Avimark (or similar) software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Veterinary Technician position is paid on an hourly basis commensurate with experience.

Veterinary Receptionist Job Description

Are you an experienced veterinary or medical office receptionist who also happens to love cats? Would you enjoy working in a small yet growing feline only veterinary hospital with friendly co-workers who have each other’s backs, and adoring clients? If so, then a job at Aristokatz in Fairfield, CT might be the place for you! Our mission is to provide an exceptional level of care and strive to exceed our clients’ expectations.

The Veterinary Receptionist position provides the first impression for our clients and requires a client focused mentality. Primary responsibilities will be working in tandem with our front desk receptionist, which includes but is not limited to answering phones, closing out patients as they leave the clinic, scheduling follow-up appointments, etc.  

Capabilities and Experience include, but are not limited to: 

  • Must be confident (and not allergic) around cats.
  • Be experienced in receptionist duties – knowledge of Avimark patient management software (or a similar system), scheduling appointments, answering phones, sending and answering emails.
  • Be adept at managing multiple tasks
  • Be comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Be skilled at collaborating with others to achieve best outcomes
  • Be proactive – willing to jump in and help as needed when the office is busy
